Office Policies
To ensure a clear understanding of how our therapy sessions will proceed and to create a supportive and structured therapeutic environment, please review the following office policies:
Scheduling and Appointments
Booking Sessions: Appointments can be scheduled directly with the practice via phone, email, or through our online booking system.
Session Frequency: Sessions are typically held once a week or every other week at a mutually agreed-upon time and last approximately 50-60 minutes, unless otherwise discussed.
Cancellation Policy
We require a 24-hour notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment. This allows me to offer the slot to other clients in need.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee, except in cases of emergency.
Communication
For privacy reasons, communication between sessions should primarily focus on scheduling or urgent concerns.
We encourage you to save detailed discussions for our sessions, where they can be addressed with the appropriate attention and confidentiality.
Fees and Payment
Fees for therapy sessions and any other services provided by Resilient Roots Therapeutic Services are due at the time of service.
We accept various forms of payment, including credit, debit, check and cash.
Please contact us directly for any questions about session rates and insurance billing practices.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our therapeutic relationship. Information discussed in sessions will not be disclosed without your written consent, except as required by law.
Emergency Policy
If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. While we strive to be accessible, we cannot provide 24-hour crisis support.
Use of Technology
Please be aware of the limits of confidentiality when using electronic communication. We recommend using secure methods provided by the practice for any communication that may involve sensitive information.
Termination of Therapy
The decision to end therapy is an important one and should be discussed together. If it is determined that you would be better served by another professional or service, we will provide you with appropriate referrals.
Consent to Treat
Before beginning therapy, you will be asked to sign an Informed Consent and Disclosure form, acknowledging your understanding and agreement to these office policies, as well as your consent to participate in therapy.
By engaging in therapy with Resilient Roots Therapeutic Services, you agree to these policies, which are designed to support your therapeutic journey and safeguard your privacy and well-being. If you have any questions or need further clarification on any of the above policies, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
