Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are crafted in accordance with Pennsylvania and North Carolina state laws and regulations governing therapy services. By engaging in therapy with me, you acknowledge and agree to these terms, which are designed to ensure a clear, mutual understanding of our therapeutic relationship.

1. Scope of Services

As a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, I offer professional mental health services as described on my website. These services are provided in compliance with the ethical standards of the Pennsylvania Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.

2. Client Engagement

You commit to actively participate in the therapeutic process, which includes attending scheduled sessions, being open in our discussions, and working on therapeutic goals between sessions as recommended.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Pennsylvania and North Carolina law requires notification of cancellation policies to clients. You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee, except in emergencies or as otherwise noted in our agreement.

4. Confidentiality

In accordance with Pennsylvania and North Carolina law, all communications between you and me are confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent, except as required by law (e.g., threats of harm to self or others, suspected child abuse).

5. Fees, Billing, and Payment

Fees for services and payment policies are consistent with legal requirements in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Details about session fees, insurance billing, and payment schedules are provided upfront and are due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

Due to confidentiality concerns, please limit email and text communications to scheduling issues. Be aware that these forms of communication are not fully secure.

7. Disclaimer of Guarantees

Therapy outcomes vary and cannot be guaranteed. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that progress is a collaborative effort and depends on many factors, including your active participation.

 

8. Amendments to Terms

These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in practice policies or Pennsylvania and North Carolina law. Any amendments will be communicated appropriately.

 

9. Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Any disputes will be resolved under Pennsylvania jurisdiction.

 

10. Agreement

By continuing therapy with me, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
